My husband and I are still sad they closed. I wonder if they opened another restaurant closer to where they live. We used to order food from them for our parties and I am craving Sam's lamb shank. If any of the family members read this, please get ahold of me! I will throw a party just to be able to order from you again!
Greek, Armenian, Persian cuisine - it can all be found here at Sam's Deli in Old Town Monrovia. Came here with hubby for lunch. Since it was Good Friday that day, I practiced my Catholic no-meat-on-Fridays ritual by ordering the falafel sandwich, which came with fries. Hubby had the beef and chicken kabobs with rice pilaf and a side of hummus and pita bread. My falafel sandwich was so huge that I could only eat half of it. So I saved the other half for dinner. Overall, I liked the place. Food was very good and so was the service. I'll definitely be back to try their meat dishes now that Lent is over.
